Meaning of Home

Home is a safe place The snow is falling hard I don't care Because I'm cozy and Im warm All wrapped in snuggly blankets I'm sitting by the fire watching the flames glow There could not be a better place to wait for The end of the swirly snow The rain is pouring down I do not care Im playing in the bedroom With friends and family near The thumping and taping is all drowned out For the sounds of joy and laughter is flying everywhere What possibly could be better than playing through the rain Well we wait for it to stop its thump, thump, thumping game The thunders crashing, the powers out I don't mind I'm seated by the table with candles all aglow My family and I all gathered round Eating dinner while we chat Or maybe share a treat or two And then we fed the cat As long as we are home we are safe warm and dry Where we live is where we are loved My family, friends and I
