My Place

Home is where the walls are covered with pictures of loved ones. Home is where I eat my Dad’s famous spaghetti and shrimp with hot, gooey Alfredo sauce. Home is where I hear my dog’s claws go clickity clack on the hardwood floor as she rushes to the door to greet us when I get back from school. Home is where I celebrate Christmas with my family and wait not so patiently for Santa to come. Home is where I smell a blast of delicious cooking when I open the door to the kitchen. Home is where I can feel safe, happy, and protected from Monday morning to Friday night. Thank you to Habitat for Humanity for giving students across Canada a chance to help build a home.
