Home To Me
Home to me, is where I live my family. Which includes my Mom, Dad and brothers. Together we help build the foundation of our home. Home is a place where one feels comfortable. It is a place of belonging. A home is not based on the materials that it was built with like wood and bricks. My home is where my family spends time with each other and laughs together. A home comes in many different sizes. It just needs to be a place that you feel loved and safe in. That can look different from family to family including living in a tent as long as you are safe and surrounded by family and friends. At my home, I play basketball with my brother inside and outside in my backyard. Home also reminds me of our memories cooking together. I cook chicken and Fufu with my Dad, and bake cake and shortbread with my Mom and brother. I enjoy preparing meals with my parents and siblings. We sit and enjoy it together. Home also reminds me of all of the celebrations we celebrate like Christmas, my birthday, and Thanksgiving. My home and heart is the fullest when we are all in it together.
