The Meaning of Home

The difference between a house and a home is that home is my happy place, because it’s where everything and everyone important to me are. Home is special to me because it’s the place my Mom makes me Jollof Rice and buys snacks for my family and me. My family celebrates Christmas, and not only do we love Christmas we love to have family get togethers to celebrate even more. My home makes all that possible. I am very grateful to be with family and in a very nice house. I also really like the food I am given every year. Home is where I feel safe and it’s where I feel humorous. Another difference between is a house and a home is that a house is a place made of wood and other materials and a home is a place made of memories and loved ones. My house is just my two brothers, my sister, my mom, and I. I live in a very quiet house, because all my siblings go to work so its just my mom and me. I like to be in my home because I am in a safe environment around the people that have been in my life ever since I was born. Most people get homesick because it’s a place where you feel calm and get to do whatever you want around the ones that you love. I love to be at my house because sometimes my niece and nephew come over and play with me. Home is a place where I can go.
