The Meaning of Home

Home is where I sit on the couch and watch the snow fall as I drink a mug of hot cocoa which feels like a big warm hug in my soul. At home you can let out all your emotions . At home I hear the playful growl of my dog leaping across the floor. Home is not just a place, it is the smell of my dad’s mac and cheese, it is the feeling of love and the comforting sight of everything you love. Home is where you can feel safe. Home can feel like a warm sweater on a cold day . At home I feel the playfulness of my sister laughing on her birthday . Home is the sweet scent of a fresh flower from my mom’s garden . Home is a place that will catch your tears as it comforts you with a big smooch on your cheek .Home is a place you can always come back to. Home is not one particular size shape or color home is what you want it to be. Home is where you hold everything dear to you. Home is a place where you can look at old photos and remember the trips and the great feeling of coming back to the place you missed most of all. Home is the place I lay in bed and stare at my ceiling and think of all things I have access to and own and how thankful I am for those things. Home reminds me of my family and how much I love them and how much they love me. It really shows me that I have a lot to give and I want to help as much as possible . Home is a place neither I nor nobody would give up for anything. And to give a home is a big gesture so let's thank Habitat for Humanity for their kindness .
