What a Home means to me!

A home is not just a place with four walls and a roof It's where your dog is always there to greet you with a woof When you come home you see the people you love Where you know you'll get a push or a shove. A home is where the memories are made Where you know every game has been played Even if you win or lose Your family is always there to make fun of you. Where the laughs and the giggles dance through the air Where you know your family is always there But when things get tough and you feel your not enough Remember that your brother got Air Jordan's with a scuff. A home is where there's pictures scattered all over the walls That you admire every time you walk down your halls Where your sister’s always there to give you advice You'll go running to her because you know she is wise. When things get hard or your in trouble Just know your family is there to catch you when you stumble A home is where there's doors and rooms But behind those doors something special blooms. I lay in my bed and call my friends By the time I hang up its like 12am Our loud talking and laughing makes a big riot And then I hear my mom telling me to be quiet. But then at school I see them again And we talk about our conversations Then we get told to go back to work And we slightly giggle with a smirk. When I think of home I think of love and joy But also when we run around like cowboys Remember a home is meant to share But it's a place that will always be there. Whether you move or grow up and leave It will always be a place to come back to and grieve A home is not just a place with four walls and a roof It's a place where the loved ones always come back to.
