Nina's Story

Nina was 13 years old and she had two older sisters and a younger brother. She lived in a tiny home so her whole family had to sleep in the same room. So her parents wanted to move to a bigger home. Nina didn't want to move because this was her home where she felt safe. She lived here ever since she could remember and she would miss the farmy air when she woke up and the smells of fresh eggs and bacon in the morning. Nina’s family was sadly ready to pack everything up and move. We finally got in the car and drove for hours and hours they got to the not much bigger house than their old one. We opened the door and a wave of dust came flying out and Nina’s mom Sarah said, “Well what are we waiting for” she said with a disappointing grin. Nina and her siblings had no smiles on their glum faces. They walked in slowly. It was actually kinda nice Nina thought to herself. She whispered under her breath, “Maybe this won't be so bad after all”. She and her family were standing in a modern beautiful living room and then they walked into a casual clean kitchen. They were so happy when they saw each family member would have their own room. Nina finally felt like she was finally getting a little excited about her new home. She still smelt fresh eggs and bacon in the morning. Not farm smells but, still the fresh air wafting into Nina’s nose. It wasn't big but it was enough for her. She still felt loved in her new amazing home.
