What Home Means to Me

The word home means a comfortable and safe place to be. On the streets and in shelters it is harder and more dangerous to live. At home, you can watch movies and just do whatever you are into. Homeless people cannot watch TV or sports. Homeless people are unprotected from the weather. They cannot stay indoors when the weather is bad, like snow, rain, high wind or even a blizzard. Most importantly, you can have a better life instead of being on the streets and begging. I am incredibly lucky to be born with a house in my house is my family in my family there is my brother, my mom, my dad, and me in my house. You can learn a lot of things. I have learned tomake food like eggs a bagel with peanut butter and my Mom also taught me how to fold and put my clothing in the laundry on the other side. My Dad taught me how to do chores such as vacuuming and the dishes. It is nice to just hang out with my brother at home. I think the government should make prices cheaper. A lot of people can't buy any food for themselves and their kids that is an problem because people have to spend more money on food then there house rent. Homes are also getting very much more expensive an house from 2012 cost is $497 298 vs a house from 2023 is $851 000 its getting much more expensive as it goes on . That is what home means to me, and we need to stop homelessness and can donate to charities such as Habitat for Humanity to help.
