A Home vs. a House
Is there a difference between a house and a home? Part one, the home. A home, or my home, is a place where there’s love and life in the air, it’s a wonderful place to be. It’s super colourful like a magnificent piece of art. When I picture myself in my home, I can smell my mom’s cookies, I can hear laughter, I can feel my dad’s warmth, I can see my family’s smiles and I taste my mom’s cookies. I’m grateful I can be in a wonderful home with a family who loves me. I’m also grateful I have a roof over my head, bedding and a happy life. My home means that I’m able to live a good life with things that I need and want.
Part two, the house. Unlike the home there is no one in there to make it a home. There’s no life to it, it’s a blank canvas unlike a home. When I picture a house, I just think of a grey and lifeless deserted part of the earth. There’s just a waste of a perfect place for an opportunity to have just as good as a home like mine, but people can’t afford it. It’s terrible to have people that don’t have any place to sleep at night, especially in the winter. There’s a perfectly good roof that could be over someone’s head.
So, there can be an astronomical difference between a house and a home. Does that answer your question about the differences between a house and a home?
