Home

What do you see, smell, taste, touch and hear when you think of your home? I see the city view from the balcony of my apartment, the cars racing and honking. I can see all the people going to the shopping mall and leaving. Most importantly, I see my family in my home. I can see my mom cooking, my dad working, my brother playing and my dog sleeping. I can hear the familiar birds singing and my family laughing. I can hear my dog barking and my brother shouting. What can you taste in your home? I can taste my mom’s sweet cooking that will forever hold memories. What can you touch at home? I can feel the touch of my pets, furniture, computer and I can hug my family. Home is where a loving family starts. A home is where I can be myself and do whatever I want without worries. What do you smell at home? I can smell the fresh sweet roses blooming, fresh air and my old perfumes. A home is special because homes are different than houses. Some houses don’t contain memories like a home does. Some houses are dark and bland, but homes aren’t. To me a home is where memories arise as soon as you step in. I remember getting my first pet hamsters, road trips and cooking, photos, and the city streets. These are all great memories too, but the thing that brings back the most memories is the taste of your parents’ cooking. Home is where your friends will be, and it is where the memories with them will stay. A home is something that can never be replaced or forgotten. What do you think of when you hear the word “home”?
