The Meaning of Home

Have you ever felt like there's one place that just makes you feel really safe, where you feel like you can be yourself? That's what home means to me. And where no one is lying or keeping secrets. To me home is where I feel safe to say all my feelings. Home is comfy. Home is where you can lay down on the couch after a long day of work. And where you can go to relax. Home is where if I’m angry or overwhelmed I can take some deep breaths. Every home smells different. Some homes smell strongly of lavender perfume, and some smell like freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Some smell like cats, some smell like dogs. Everyone's version of home is different. This writing was about mine.
