No Place Like Home

For me, home is many things. It is a playground for my neighbourhood. A place where I can play games with my family and friends. Sleepovers with my best friend who lives next door. Hide and seek and trampolining late on summer nights. Home can be a busy place, but also simple. It's where my dogs are always happy to see me. A place where my family shares stories and cooks together. My dad trying out new recipes and perfecting his homemade ice cream. Home is a constant thing in my life. It always makes me feel sure of things. It’s where I get up in the morning and go to sleep each night. Every year, it’s where we celebrate our tradition of Halloween bonfires and seafood dinners. Above all, my home is a refuge. At home, I can be myself around people I know. I feel safe to learn and grow without worries. For me, home stays the same even while we change, and I love that.
