Meaning of Home

A house is just a building or a structure that people live in to keep them warm, dry, safe and protected. A home is much more than that. A home is the people in it, and the love that brings a family together. Homes look different to other people, but mine looks like my family gathered on a couch watching our favorite tv show, enjoying each other's company and laughing. Home feels like the softness of my cat's fur lightly, touching my hand. It smells like my moms delicious homemade cookies baking in the oven until they are a golden brown color. It tastes like Salty, buttery, fresh popped Popcorn and my moms fresh cookies that just came out of the oven. It sounds like my family saying “I love you” and the soft rumbles of my kitten purring. That's what home is to me but it might not be what it looks like to you. Homes don't have to look the same for there to be love in it. But one of the things that every house has is lots of love. Love is what makes a home, a home thank you Habitat for Humanity for changing people's lives.
