Home is
by Anjola
My home is a glove
Coated with love
I taste the savory food lying on the table
As I tell a fascinating fable
Nobody is to house as family is to home
But in my home, we are not alone
Home is where I smell the buttery popcorn flying in the air
As I sit down on my pleasing chair
It’s where I laugh out loud
As if I was not in a large crowd
A home is where love spreads
Because we all have our threads
Home is where I have fun
It’s where I say I WON!!!
Home is a place where you feel safe
It is where we are brave
A home is one of a kind
Its something you cant just find
Home is where I hold my brother
I also have another
They are so cute
But they never eat their fruit
Home is not just a roof over your head
And It is not just where you have a bed
But if I had no home
I would go and roam
People stare
with a glare
They might have pain
And sit around with no gain
They live in rags
While we are tearing tags
They do not have a career
Could they be an engineer
It’s cold outside
Do they even mind
Don’t tell me I'm too young to make a change
And bring us out of this horrible stage
Just like God when he said let there be light
He gave us the gift of sight
Let us be giving
To care for their living
