What Home Means To Me

The meaning of home to me is feeling safe and respected and being able to be myself. Whenever I think of home it reminds me of my family watching movies or camping at my cottage. Home to me is full of memories; memories of baking with my mom, going for walks with my step brother and hanging out with my cat. Home isn’t always a place, most times it’s a feeling. A feeling of being accepted, happiness, safety and many more. Home is a place where you can shower and have clean water. Home is a place where you can have fun and smile all the time. Home is a place where I can practice sports and play basketball with my step sister. The smell of Bath and Body Works candles and freshly baked cookies always remind me of home. The taste of popcorn my family and I have for movie nights remind me of home too. Home is a place full of many things like smiles, memories, and laughter. Those are some things that remind me of home and what it means to me. What is the meaning of home to you?
