This Is Home

Home is not a place like a house just to sit there and look pretty, it’s connected to you. It is full of love and happiness. It’s your appreciation for the people you love so very dearly who are by your side all the way through life’s ups and downs. This is home. Home is where I can see everyone’s faces when we laugh together at the dinner table. Home to me is where mom cooks her delicious lemon chicken pasta. It’s where my family eats yummy food. It’s where the table is set and there is a savory, sweet and salty aroma that fills the air. Home to me is where I sleep comfortably in my room. It’s where me and my rowdy and loud siblings have Nerf gun wars and where I grew up watching TV. Home to me is where I see snow falling on the ground and Christmas arrives and the night falls and sun rises and sets. It’s where family is the heart of my home. Thanks family. Home to me is where I go on a walk with my mom, and we are cold, and we hold hands just to keep warm. It’s where we come home to warm hot coco on the kitchen island. Home is where you feel safe and where you experience life and family. Home is a place where you feel confident to be yourself. When you are home, you are loved.
