Home Sweet Home

The next morning, I woke up glowing with happiness. My body was tingling with excitement. I heard my tummy rumble with hungriness. I hopped out of my comfy bed and ran down the creaking stairs to the dining table. I was amazed and breath-taken. The room looked ready for a Christmas party! My grandma must have been up at 5 this morning. The buffet was filled with potatoes, hash brown, sausages, toast, jams, cereal, omelets, and all sorts of delicious food. It was hard making a choice, because the options were all equally irresistible. I finally decided on a steaming hot omelet, 2 slightly burnt sausages, and a giant hash brown. I drooled down to the smooth, white plate. I quickly rushed to the nearest spot at the table, and wolfed down everything with the greatest joy and beyond imaginable pleasure as my groaning tummy finally satisfied. I carried my plate to the overflowing sink and dumped it gently in, I could hardly hear a crash. I then got a delicious chocolate milk and gulped it down as fast as a cheetah could run. Afterwards, I went on a walk with my mom, dad, and younger brother to burn off some of the calories we had consumed. During our walk, I felt like someone was spying on my family. My mom reassured me and I calmed down a little. I imagined myself walking up and down the street all by myself. I would have been very frightened. I was really glad to have my safe and loving family by my side. My family laughed and frolicked through the sparking, white snow as we watched the emerging sun peeking through the fluffy, white clouds and radiating its friendly rays. Growing up happily was the memory I would never forget.
