My Lego House

Whenever I think of building a house, I think of the bricks as Lego pieces. If I were to build a house, I would first start with the foundation. The foundation provides stability. Otherwise the house would teeter and totter and eventually collapse. A home needs stability to stand. In real life, when building a house I’d flatten the ground. My foundation in Lego usually varies between a flat 7x7 and a flat 15x15 base. Secondly, I would build the first floor. This is where the living room, kitchen, and dining room are. The living room is usually where my family and I spend most of our time. We like building pillow mountains, or playing video games. The kitchen is where my mom makes the most delicious meals, and the dining room is where we sit together at the table to eat and talk and connect with each other. When I build this with Lego I create little barriers for each room and doorways that lead into them. Lastly, the second floor. This is where the bedrooms are. My brother's room is where we play games with each other. In my parents room, nothing interesting ever happens. All they do is just talk, read, and sleep. Now for my room; I love my room. It’s my sanctuary. I love getting caught up in a book, playing piano, and setting up Lego structures there. When I build this floor in Lego I do the same as I did on the first floor but I add mini beds with very tiny decorations, and sometimes people in those beds. I know that Lego bricks can only make a pretend house...in real life, it takes family, love, and memories to make it a meaningful home.
