The Meaning of Home
A safe, suitable, sustainable home is a place everyone should have. Home is where
you are loved wholly and where you can break through your own barriers and expectations. It
should also be a place where you have an emotional connection, a sense of belonging, where
you feel most affection.
After working hard at school, coming home to a movie night while eating steaming hot
popcorn with sizzling butter dripping down it when you are watching the firewood burn to
ashes can be a completely different story. On a Sunday morning I listen to the soothing
sound of the wheel turning round and round as fast as a race car going around the track,
while the clothes inside are washing.
When you have to leave You miss a lot of things you see, you may miss the simple smell of a
Palm tree out your window like when you inhale a piece of freshly baked cookies in the
middle of the day, or it could be the pet you miss so dearly. I am connected to my house and
will try to never move because of all the memories and ongoing adventures needing to be
discovered.
When moving it is okay, wherever you go you can make new amazing moments. When you
are gone you may sleep somewhere, but the bed may not feel comfortable so you may start
to miss your own bed, this will make you even more excited to go home. “Life takes you to
unexpected places. Love brings you home.”-A. N. Onymous. I think this quote means that no
matter how lost you are in the world the people you love will take you home.
