Home Sweet Home
Home can be whatever you want it to be. Home can be a place to reunite with family and friends. It can be a place of tranquility or action. You can be yourself and pursue your dreams. We all grew up here and changed, some with and some without siblings. It could be diverse or centered. It all depends on how we feel and who we are. Although we all differ during the day, at night, most of us go to 1 house, walk to 1 room, and sleep in 1 bed.
Whenever I finally see my house, I breathe a heavy sigh of relief. The feeling of calmness after a long day hits me like sugary candy. I feel as if the day is just starting and ending all at once. As I leave the car and enter the house, I smile, eager to see my family. I greet my mom and brother, talking to them about our days and bracing in for the fun ahead of me. Even though a home takes up such a small space in this world, it can mean so much to all of us.
I decide to do my homework before I play a game of some sort. My brother and I have a fun time together, playing games. I wonder what life would be like without him. Mom yells “Dinner” and we both rush downstairs as we are hungry. We eat quickly and put away my dishes. As I enter the washroom, I recall the fun I had today. As I enter my bedroom, warm air hits me and I bundle up in a cozy blanket. I think about tomorrow. I slowly drift into a soft slumber.
