My Home
When you think about the word home you might think of all sorts of different things: the house that some live in, the key on the computer or where your family is. Home is everywhere. Some might say that even school is home because that's where their friends are and that's also where the love is. Everywhere people feel at home because those people who love them and they don't bully. So home for me is where people love me and do not treat me unhealthy. My home is full of people because lots of people take care of me as me. When I hurt my hand and I was wearing a splint, everyone was taking care of me and I was taking care of my friends as well. I don't bully people. That's just wrong. Love is my home. My parents are divorced so I have two houses but I don't have everything. I'm just lucky that I have houses with people who take care of me and love me for who I am. Some people have to look at the starry night sky and wish that one day they will have a home. But I love my home because there's a roof over my head and there are walls beside me so it won't be the coldness leaking into dark times. And that's all I need for home because I don't need clothes because I can survive without them. I just need a roof over my head, walls beside me, food and water. Some people might have expensive mansions and some may not so the ones who are rich should give to the poor. You don't need that much money, all you need is a roof, four walls, a coat, food, water and people who love you as being yourself and not someone else. People that care about me is all I need for happiness. The one reason I joined the contest Habitat for Humanity, well there's actually two. I really like writing so I wanted to express it with the world. Two, if I win, I want the next generation to see my work and they will know that home is not where your stuff is, it's where people you love and people that love you are. So that's the two reasons why I joined the Habitat for Humanity contest. My friends helped me along the way. I hope other people will soon learn that home is not where the stuff is, it's where people who love them and they love are. That's all. Thank you Habitat of Humanity for doing this contest so that I could share my writing to the world.
