The Meaning of Home

February 24 a war broke out in Ukraine. It was very scary. People began to panic. My dad went to work. I don’t believe that yesterday we lived in peace and love and now we have become children of war. People went to the bank to take their money and began to pack their bags. I started to pack the food. I felt like I had nothing. We went to the border. We stood in a traffic jam for seven hours. We came to Hungary. One kind man took us in for seven months. We got a visa for Canada and now finally we are here. We made a new home. So now I can say that home is not a thing, it’s a place where you feel comfortable and spend time with family. Also, at home you need to have your personal space where you can relax with yourself.
