Home to Me
Home to Me
Home is somewhere I can't leave.
It's somewhere I can be free,
So I can be me.
Home is where I am safe,
So I can have some space.
I can't imagine NO HOME,
No place to eat, no place to sleep, nowhere to be safe.
I am lucky to have my home,
‘coz not everybody has a home to feel safe.
Home is where I can be.
when I think of home I say “I wanna go home.”
And when I pass my home,
I know that IT’S HOME.
I'm lucky to have a home,
with dogs and cats to greet me when I enter the door.
I am lucky to have food, shelter and blankets for warmth,
And I'm lucky to have the ability to come home
with dinner cooking on the stove.
I am so very lucky to have my home.
But, not everyone has a home.
I wish everyone could have a home.
