The Meaning of Home
What home means to me. Home is my family and I swimming
together in my pool with music and joy. Making smores in my
backyard with the warm fire table keeping everyone warm. The love
and happiness of watching a movie on my couch, nuzzled up in a
cozy warm blanket. The delicious smell of popcorn being made with
butter and salt. My brothers and I waiting patiently for every single
little popcorn kernel to pop. And the last one to pop into our dad’s
face as we laugh so hard, we have tears in our eyes. Playing ping
pong in our basement competing to be the winner. Making
memories like playing pool, singing karaoke, and having people
over. My mom and I baking cookies, brownies, muffins, and
cupcakes. The smell and taste of the warm delicious treats coming
out of the oven. Having delicious home cooked family dinners with
laughter and stories about our days. Playing video games with my
brothers on the Nintendo Switch. We would play games together like
Mario Cart, Super Mario Party, and Just Dance. Home is playing
outside with neighbors and friends too. Playing games like
hopscotch, riding scooters, doing gymnastics, making up our own
dances. Going on bike rides with my family and friends. Going on
walks with my friends, making videos and having fun. Playing sports
such as soccer, road hockey, basketball, and football. Going to the
park to play tennis, play baseball and go skating on the ice rink in
the winter. Mostly home is not what I do in my home, but it is about
the people with me. That is what makes my home a special home
