My Home and Yours
People are human beings. They need food, water, emotions like happiness, sadness , anger and fear, love, laughter, and safety.
But where do these emotions and basic needs come from? Home. Home is where I feel my emotions and safety. I have food, water, love, and laughter.
To me home means… watching tv, baking like there’s a mini-bakery in my kitchen, texting my friends, sleeping, having big dreams, a burst of colour exploding when I put a bath bomb in the bathtub, relaxing in pajamas, and having free time on a device and cuddling a stuffy so big it fits my whole body! Home means…tasting my dad’s cooking flavours where the spices and juices burst on my taste buds. The meat is so tender it’s easily cuts through with a knife. I love my dad’s cooking! I eat it all the time with my family. My family loves to watch movies where I snuggle with my mom and eat candy. Home is having a sister who is always helping and laughing with me. She helps me pick my outfits or I take some of her clothes! Home is watering the flowers in the front of my house, the sun so warm and the water so cold. Bright, loud, colourful flowers blooming so calm. They smell so bad sometimes, but my dad brings them inside our house, and they have a strong, beautiful floral scent. Music is home but not just for me it’s for my whole family. The melodies and tunes match up perfectly in my house. Music plays everywhere from the radio, records, phone, and tv. Home is not always happy. I can get made at my sister, cry because I got hurt, scared because I had a nightmare but, in the end, it is still my home. It has all my memories and emotions: happiness, sadness, anger, fear, but it doesn’t matter because these are all home to me. This is what home means to me, what about you?
