Meaning of Home

Home can mean many different things to different people. What home means to me is the feeling of being loved and cherished. I can be myself in my home and I’m not being judged for being who I am. No one cares what I look like. I just feel so loved when I’m in my home. Every house has a specific smell, you can’t really explain it, but it just has A smell. It’s kind of a combination of an amazing food that’s cooking but also the general “smell” of your home, sounds gross and strange but it’s so true. When you look in my home you will see my cats being relaxed and enjoying themselves on their cat tree. You will always see my dad working on something in the garage; whether its working on a snowmobile or organizing his stuff. He’s always up to something. My mom on the other hand is very relaxed and comfortable on the couch watching TV, but sometimes she works overtime after school when she's working from home. She’s always so calm. My sister though is just like my dad, always up to something. She loves listening to old rock music in her room where she is never bored. Most of the time, she’s organizing her stuff, like her CD’s and records. I’m the one who’s never doing much, I admit it, I’m very boring. But I’m always around my cats playing with them, or on my phone, mostly that...but I’m definitely a super boring person. My home isn’t really the physical house most think of. Home to me is when I’m outside enjoying the outdoors with my family on a nice long snowmobile trip. What I hear is the snowmobiles revving in the distance. When I’m snowmobiling, I just feel so calm, and I feel something that’s so peaceful. Every home has a different taste, too. The taste of home for me is the delicious chicken soup my grandpa makes for my family. Everyone's home is different. No one’s is the same. Certain things about home make other people happy. Everyone has that special something that makes their home a happy place!
