Meaning of Home

Home is a place where you feel you belong. A place where you share love, laughter and happiness. Home is where you can create memories. Home is where you can celebrate holidays such as Birthday’s, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas, Easter, New Year, Canada’s day, Remembrance day, Good Friday and many more holidays. Home is when you help eachother with dishes, laundry, folding, cleaning, moping, vacuuming and shoveling snow. Home is where you can have fun and be yourself. Home is where you can be comfortable and feel safe. Home is where you can spend time with family such as board games and having family movie nights. Home is a place where you can sit on your couch and relax. Home is a place where you can share and talk about anything. Home is where you can workout and run. Home can have many feelings like safety, comfort and happiness. Home is also a place where you have to be responsible and clean and learn how to clean up after yourself. Home is where you can enjoy lots of family dinners together. I remember a time when me and my siblings were doing arts and crafts on my kitchen table. We made a big mess but it was so much fun. I have lots of memories of all the birthdays that I celebrated. I had friends over and family as well. We had face paintings and a unicorn Pinata. My mom also bought me a unicorn cake for my birthday. A holiday that reminds me of home is Christmas. Christmas brings joy and happiness. We cook meals as families and get together to share. We exchange gifts and enjoy each other. We also set out cookies, milk and carrots for Santa and the reindeers. When I'm home I make cupcakes and decorate them with different kinds of sprinkles. I remembered making Valentine's day gifts and cards for my friends and it was so fun to give away. When COVID19 happened, I had to do online schooling and it was not fun. I had so many bad memories about it. When it was October my mom had made a Turkey for Thanksgiving holiday. It was so exciting and fun because we all got to sit down as a family and eat a lot of food. I used to have a yellow pet bird named Levi, I used to play with him but he got sick and died. I had so many memories with him. Home is also a place where I can have friends come over and enjoy my home with me. Home is special to me because it brings memories of people who are gone. A person who made my house a home was my grandma. I remembered laying on my grandma's bed and watching play-dough videos on youtube. It made me feel happy and safe because I was spending time with my grandma and I felt loved. Home is love.
