A Home Can Be Anywhere

The word “home” can mean different things to different people depending on where they might live. To me, when I hear the word home, I think of people who love me, and where I feel comfortable saying what is on my mind. I think of a place where I have friends and where I have pets. I think of a place where I can look outside without feeling cold during the winters. Home to me is a space where I feel confident about what I wear, what I think and what I want, but the word “home” could mean anything to anyone else. Homes aren’t always buildings. A home can be anywhere that is important to you, it could be a tent, all the way to a giant skyscraper. I hear a lot of people saying that a home has heat, food, and shelter, but some people’s homes might not always have everything they need. Home is somewhere that you live in every day. Someone’s home might not have everything for them to live easily, in fact they might have to travel to get it. A home is not always where you have everything, A home is a place where you feel comfortable, and loved. My home does have mostly everything that I need, sadly not all people have that privilege, but that doesn’t mean that where they live is not a home. A home is a place that someone loves, a place that someone misses if they are away from it, a place that gives you a warm feeling when you enter it. A home is a place that could be anywhere, but only somewhere all at once.
