Meaning of Home

Welcome to the world. A different place when you just go down the road. You know that you have an entire house, right? Well you are one of the luckiest people standing on this dear good planet. Because, in 2023, over 235,000 people in Canada are without a house, some on sidewalks on Main Street, others in the middle of fields, lost in where to go. I shall now tell you the meaning of home. Firstly, out of many reasons you are lucky, your parents have jobs and make at least 100 dollars a week while other homeless people beg for money on the streets, with cold faces, because in winter, still many people are in the streets. You have food that others don’t have, so be happy you have all your beloved belongings. Second of all, Why are people homeless? Homelessness could be caused by non-affordable rent, poverty. Also by being unemployed and being declined by businesses, you can't make any money to afford necessities. That is why sometimes you see the homeless begging for money or for food. The homeless are usually found on sidewalks, city streets, dark alleys in between two large buildings, dumpsters and more. In conclusion, you should not think bad of the homeless, because you don’t know what their life feels like. They struggle in different ways, begging for someone to give them at least five dollars. Over 535,000 people across the globe are homeless! I wish for the homeless to have a place to call home.
