My Sweet Little Home
Quote: “Having somewhere to go is home, having someone to love is family, having both is a blessing.”
Home, where I feel the warmth of pure love, see emotion of kindness, hear laughter and giggles, smell the delicacy of food, taste the yummy food and touch the cozy bed to cuddle up with loved ones.
Dwelling in a lovely neighborhood with a backyard facing the Meadowvale conservation area, with the Credit river flowing in the conservation area makes me feel connected with mother nature, just from the back of our window.
Home, a treasure chest with many precious memories for lifetime. Ever loving mom and dad as my gems and a little sister as glittering jewel make us a complete family. Profound memories of our birthday parties hosted in our home makes it even more special.
Home, the first institution. Where I grew up to learn our rich culture and tradition with ease. Place where I am taught moral virtues and values to help us succeed in life.
Home, a safe zone. Protects the entire family from wind/snow storms, rain and heat. It is the comfort where I can rest to my heart's content.
Home, a holy place. Gives me immense happiness to pray and express my gratitude for all the blessings I got till date.
Home, a celebration. Opportunity to come together to clean , decorate, prepare special food and make gifts for loved ones on all festivals. Enjoy evenings with friends and family while dancing to the music.
Home, sweet home. Is always a pleasure to wake up with the chirping sounds of the birds in the morning.
Big or small , far or near , everyone deserves a home to feel safe and secure.
Deep down my heart, I thank Habitat for Humanity, for coming up with such a thoughtful initiative and helping build safe and affordable homes for families in our community. Truly appreciate the wonderful thought “Home for everyone” means a lot to many.
Proud to be part of this great country.
