Home
Some people are not as fortunate to have a home as I am. I have to admit, I don’t regularly think about my home. One thing I take for granted is that every night I have a safe place to sleep. Further, I know there will always be food at home to share with my family. Home is a place to come home to at the end of a day. Home is not only a place to stay, it is a place where I belong.
First, home is a safe place to sleep at night. I am so grateful that I live in a country that is not at war or overcoming a natural disaster. I know that my belongings are safe in my room. I have a bed where I can rest each night.
Furthermore, I know there will always be food at home to share with my family. Our meals are spent around our table, not just eating but talking about our day away from home. I am fortunate to be able to have food at each meal, especially when I think about people who do not have a home or who cannot afford food.
Also, home is a place to come home to at the end of a day. I know if I have a rough day at school that home is a place where I feel calm. A home is not just bricks and cement, it is love and belonging.
In conclusion, home is not only a place to stay, it is a place where I belong. Home is a safe place to sleep at night, a place to share food with my family, and a place to come home to at the end of a day. Home is a place where I fit.
