From A House To A Home

My name’s Aaron. I'm ten. My house is dirty, cold, and scary. This house isn’t mine, It is my boss’. He's creepy. I pay him $5 each week! But I don't have money so I work all day. I sweep, organize, and mop. I had a real home once; it was small, cozy, and all we needed. Dad would go work and mom would stay home with me. But mom got sick, so dad had to help us. It worked for a while, but then we started running out of food. We had to eat less, but that made mom feel even worse. I said I’d take care of myself and go do his job. He said no, but I insisted on going. He let me go, and gave me a map. The next day was harder than I thought, but I kept working. At the end of work, I got $5. I started going home, but I remembered I forgot my map. I tried going back, but I couldn't find my work. I searched until I ended up here. And one day I gave up, I let them down, I'm afraid they won't remember me also what if moms dead?! One day I was looking for money when I spotted someone. He looked familiar, he looked like… my dad! I ran to go see him until I remembered, what if he hates me? So I walked away until I heard my name. It was my dad and he looked excited to see me. He told me how he and his mom had no house. He said mom! So, we're living happily when Habitat For Humanity asks if we want a house. I said yes! And now we have an amazing new HOME! Thank you.
