Sense of Belonging
Many try to find a place called “home”
Searching everywhere from dawn to gloam
Hiding in a corner under stairs
Looking for someone that cares
Getting love is the only way to heal
Longing for the smell of a home-cooked meal
Many work day and night nonstop
Hoping to provide their family a safe spot
Everyone deserves a shelter
Nobody should shiver in a corner
Left out in the cold
Watching people to and fro
Run away from their own
Come into a foreign home
Neither young nor old should face
We all deserve a warm dwelling place
I feel blessed living in Toronto
Home for two and a half million people
Not only can I find the CN Tower
But also the Art Gallery and Casa Loma
I treasure my family giving me a home
Feel loved, secured, and never feel alone
Though I face problems in different sizes
Just need to pray and listen to advices
I am thankful I have this place
Filled with blessings and grace
A place to share laughter
And taste my favourite pasta
In times of troubles and sadness
Find my comfort, hugs and kisses
