~ ? Home Sweet Home ? ~
Home. Somewhere where I can be safe and happy. Somewhere I have a family chat with my family. Somewhere I can sleep with my parents when I'm scared. Somewhere my family will always be when I need them. Somewhere I can watch a scary movie with my family. The taste of the popcorn with extra butter, the smell of the butter from the delicious popcorn, and the screams and laughter of everyone watching the movie fill the air.
Home. The house I grew up in, the neighbourhood I was born in, and the neighbours that always greet us as we exit the car—the smell of the food trucks at Celebration Square, the chirping and singing of the birds as I play with my best friends in spring at school. The kindness my teacher always gave us. The love that she gave us. She always had our back at school.
Home. Somewhere I feel loved, and welcome. The province and city I know—all of the different languages spoken all around. The smell and taste of the sticky maple syrup, and the teachers greeting me as I enter the school. This is a place I love, and a place I will never leave.
We are very lucky to get clean water, healthy and yummy food, and a house to stay in! Many people do not have any of the things that we can have, so we should be thankful for Habitat for Humanity for building new houses — like mine! Thank you Habitat for Humanity for building new homes for people to live in!
