The Evergreen Tree Known as Home
Home is not a house, nor is it an apartment. Home is so much more than a shelter made out of stone or brick or wood. Home is the place of which you feel protected, safe and secure, that place does not have to be a physical location. Home does not have to be a house, a feeling nor a mental state. Though, it can be all of those. A house can absolutely be your home, but without all of the family, memories and comfort inside of it, it isn’t complete.
Home is an essence, you can snatch it and stuff it into your pocket to keep beside you when times get tough. Home is in the little things, sneaking out at dawn to watch a sunrise, hiking up the most extreme hill, and the infatuating view at the peak. You can be that peak, you have the ability to be the most indispensable character in someone's home.
Home is an evergreen tree, it does not wither away when the winter overtakes autumn, on the contrary, it thrives. When you find your home, it will be so discernible. It will stand out to you like an evergreen amongst hickory and birch in the midst of winter.
Home is like the plot of a well-written story, it has its highs and lows, though it still has a satisfying ending. Home is the blanket that suffocates your shivers, home is the umbrella that shelters you from the vigorous downpour. Home is the person that talks you out of your dreadful thoughts, home is the feeling of everlasting auspiciousness. You are your home, people come and go, houses come and go, but you are stuck with yourself for eternity.
