The Feeling of Home
For me, the feeling of home in Winter is coming home from a Winter walk with my family. My rosy cheeks. My cold nose. My frozen eyelashes and the feeling as I take a sip of my warm hot chocolate. That’s what I think of home in the Winter.
In Summer, the feeling of home is playing with my friends in my front yard. Sweaty faces. Burning mettle. The noise of springs from my trampolin and the beautiful feeling of jumping into a pool after running around a lot. That’s home for me in Summer.
The feeling of home in Spring is coming down stairs in the morning and the smell of Spring everywhere! The smell when the windows are open. The flowers are blooming. The fresh grass. That’s what I say is home in Spring.
Home in the Fall is the joy when you rake up all the leaves and just jump. Watching the leaves fall. All the beautiful colors. The temperature. The weather. That’s home in the Fall.
Home should be a place where you feel safe, loved, accepted, comfortable, and secure. Home is a place for me that you should have clean water, good food, a roof and a comfy bed. Home means so much more than a place with a roof. Home means you're in a place where you’re loved and everyone accepts you. Your loving family. Your delicious food. The feeling that you're safe.
I love my home and I hope that everyone can feel the same.
