The Meaning of Home
Home is a thing that can’t be beaten.
Home is more than just a house it's not made out bricks, metal and glass, it’s made from love, struggles, kindness, family and effort.
Home to me is coming home and seeing all my family and my mom cooking my favorite dinner. Seeing my room with my fluffy comfy sleepy bed and the bright sun gleaming into my room reflecting off my tv and gaming setup with the LED light keyboard. Home to me is when I wake up to my annoying alarm clock and my mom yelling “ARE YOU UP”! “Yeah” I say in a tired voice, I slowly rise out of my bed while shutting of that annoying alarm clock that has been going off for 10 minutes straight. Home to me is when I grab my hockey skates out of my hockey bag, put on a pair of boots and walk to the outdoor rink with my friends and stay till dark. Eventually my mom texts me, “BING” “dinners ready, come home” I slowly undo my frozen waxed laces and walk home with cold hands and sore legs.
Home can be more than just a house. Wherever you live is your home, an apartment, trailer, and even a hut made from sticks and leaves. Home is about the feelings and memories that take place in 4 walls, 1 roof and 1 floor.
