My Sense Of HOME

My Sense Of HOME WINTER: I hear the crunching of the snow as I hurry off to my school, comforting and cold, hard and high. I smell the icy fresh air after it snows, refreshing and relaxing, calming and clearing my mind, all in Surrey’s winter season. SPRING: I smell the fresh flowers in the nicely cut grass, bright and beautiful, sunny and sweet. I see the cherry blossom tree’s, pink and pretty, blooming and blowing, all in Surrey’s spring season. SUMMER: I feel the green grass swaying under my bare feet, cool and crooked, soft and silky. I smell the salty flow of sea air rushing to the city, coming from the Salish Sea, dancing and daring, soothing and seething, all in Surrey’s summer season. AUTUMN: I taste the honey of the determined and hard-working Bumble bees, bittersweet and bland, delicious and desiring. I see the red, orange, yellow and green autumn leaves, falling from the almost bare tree’s, colourful and goes crunch, free and fun to catch. Habitat for Humanity helps build your house, and that is WONDERFUL, but remember, only YOU can make it your OWN HOME!
