How a Home Can Change a Life

A big majority of people take our home and food for granted but there are also people who wish to have home and have family dinner. Here is a story about a boy named Kavin and his family. Kavin was a boy in a normal family living a good life. 2019 ends and 2020 starts. The pandemic hits and Kavin and his family were worried because his parents got sick. Kavins family couldn't pay the house bills, so they had to sell their house and go try to get a house to rent. But the problem was people wouldn't accept Kavin’s family because his parents didn't have a good income. So they kept on trying but they kept on getting rejected. So Kavin’s family gave it another try and finally a landlord accepted them. The New Year is here - 2022. Kavin’s family was living a good life even though he was living on rent but suddenly one day inflation had burst and things started to get expensive by the week. Soon Kavin's family didn't know what to do so they moved out because the landlord increased the rent payment. One day Kavin was on his dad’s phone and he saw a charity called Habitat For Humanity. One of the charity's locations was near where Kavin’s family was staying so they decided to go check it out. What they saw was humbling. They talked to one of the many people who were helping to build a house about what this thing was all about and what the person said blew Kavin’s family's mind. They were building affordable homes for people who couldn't afford homes and people from the community would donate and help build homes. A couple of weeks went by and Kavin’s family thought of buying a house from the charity for an affordable price so they talked to one of the charity's real estate agents and bought a home for a good price. Kavin’s family was happy and soon Kavin’s dad got a really good job and Kavin’s family was nice and happy.
