Meaning Of Home
Houses give us shelter. Homes give us respect and love.
The feelings of my home are the sound of my grandpa making tea when I come home from school. The aroma of my grandma cooking Indian food. The sweet taste of my mom’s chocolate chip muffins and warm vegetable soup. These are some of the feelings of my home. I am grateful for my home. It’s not just four walls. It’s a place you are born into. It’s where you spend most of your life. It’s where you grow up. Where you raise your kids. Where you make a family. My home protects me from all the worries and stresses in the world. It’s a place where I can keep my head held high and keep going. It is so unfortunate that so many people don’t have a home due to financial difficulty or physical disability or other medical issues. My grandpa has been disabled for so many years and there have been so many changes to my Nana Ji’s home that I have seen in my 10 years. There are many children who don’t have a stable home because either they are orphans or there is war going on in their country. Everybody deserves to have the feeling of security in a stable home. Only if people can raise money for this great cause, the world can be a better place. Children and senior citizens all over the world deserve a home, a place to feel secure, a sense of ownership.
I hope you all hear my voice and try to take your part to help people get a home. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for helping so many people in need.
