Meaning of Home
What is home? Home is a place where you can feel
safe and comfortable. You don’t need to worry
about being judged. You shouldn’t be scared to
express your feelings or talk about your worries. A
house is just bricks and windows, but a home is
where your heart and love is.
I come home every day and smell my mom’s
delicious and warm food. You make memories in
your home and will remember them forever. When
you’re at another person’s house it’s not like home.
Home is a place to be happy and spend time with
your family. Home is where I have family movie
nights and smile at the smell of the buttery
popcorn. Home is where we laugh together and
make jokes.
Home is the neighbourhood that I grew up in. The
neighbourhood that had the big park, the big hill in the backyard to go
sledding on. The school where I go to learn and
have fun with my friends. The big tree in my
backyard that I climb on in the summer. The
feeling of the cold water splashing my back as I ran
in the sprinkler. The chocolate running down my
face as my fudgsicle melts in the summer. That is what
home means to me.
