What Home Feels Like to Me

When I think about home, the things I think about are the memories I make, the food I taste, and the love I feel. The first thing is the memories. The loving ones. Memories are not just fun trips and games. Memories are things you don’t need pictures to remember but a thing that makes a home in your brain. Some of my favourite memories where when me, my mom, my brother, my dad, my gramma, and Gigi went to Mexico and went to the beach every day. It was so hot and on the last day I got my hair done by someone on the beach. It was so pretty. There was braids and a line of flowers in my hair. One of my other memories was when my mom dyed my hair pink. My absolute favourite memory was when I entered for habitat for humanity and gave a lot of people a home like mine to make lots of memories. The next thing is the food that my Nonno makes from scratch it tastes so good, like Heaven. I love it because it usually means that there is an event. The food is usually from Italy because family is coming from Italy and when I smell it, it always means family is coming to town! The last thing is the love from my family when my mom and all the kids come and lay on the couch or play together and laugh. That’s how I know I have a loving family. When I think about all the good things, whether it is making memories or eating delicious food or the love my family gives me, I feel at home!
