The Meaning of Home
The meaning of home
To me is a nice warm cup of hot chocolate sitting by the fireplace
And a crisp evening wrap-up in a quilted blanket my nan made me
With the smell of dinner in the kitchen knowing it will be done soon.
Home is building a snowman on a snow day
With the sound of the neighbors
Snowblowers and plows are going by
Knowing that tomorrow I will be back in school.
Home is knowing I would be safe and sound in my house
As a snowstorm passes through the city
Knowing that I have lots of food for emergencies a house made out of bricks
And wood but a house is made out of a family
Home is where the heart is
Home is family
Home is home for a better tomorrow
