A Home that is . . .
My home is a refuge, my place of safety where I find my rest. I may be welcomed everywhere but my home is where my refuge is. The safety I feel at home is not made by the brick and stones, it is made by my family, my memories and my feelings.
My home is a home of unity, we stand together. We might not always agree but we always support each other. Unity might not be found at every home but it is found at mine.
My home is a home of freedom, I have the right to speak. Freedom is not only found at my home, it is found everywhere in our homes across Canada. I am thankful that our home Canada gives everyone a right to freedom
I am happy that through Habitat for Humanity everyone can have a home. A home of refuge, A home of unity, and a home of freedom.
