In My Home
In my home I feel my family cuddling me in their arms.
Reading books, watching movies.
Together
I feel snug
I feel cozy
I feel loved.
In my home I smell fresh bread baking and the chicken roasting.
Gathering for a meal, filling our tummies.
Together
I feel warm
I feel full
I feel loved.
In my home I hear my brother laughing and music playing.
Chatting about our days, telling stories.
Together
I feel safe
I feel happy
I feel loved.
In my home I think about others without a home.
Living in unsafe communities, going hungry
Alone
They feel cold
They feel scared
They feel unloved
I hope that through Habitat for Humanity projects more kids can feel the way I do
in my home.
