Definition of Home

According to you, what does the word "home" mean to you? In the definition of a dictionary, "home" is defined as "the place in which one lives permanently, especially as a member of a family or household." However, that definition does not apply to me because I consider my home to be the building where I grew up and feel at home. In my opinion, having a home should not only be a place where you feel comfortable, but also a place where you look forward to spending every single day of your life. I believe there is more to a house than bricks and concrete, it is a place where people are comfortable and feel loved, in which they are surrounded by love and happiness. In the course of a person's life, their home is expected to remind them of numerous memories and joys cherished and treasured by them. It is important for you to know that there is a community around you that is always there for you. I believe that the Meaning of Home project should be contributed to by every child in Canada, no matter how old or young they are. Despite our differences and likes, we need to work together in order to achieve our goals by living in a place we call home. Taking things one step at a time. -Jaliyah Ferguson
