My 5 senses of Home

My home feels safe. I feel the touch of my loving family. I feel the warmth of my soft blanket on a cold winter night. In my home, I am loved. My home sounds like my mom telling me she loves me. I hear the nice birds chirping outside. I hear the popcorn popping as I get ready for a movie. In my home, I am loved. My home smells like my mom’s fresh baked muffins on the kitchen counter. I smell the freshly done laundry. I smell the plants in the garden. In my home, I am loved. My home looks like a safe space. I see the trees rustling outside in the wind. I see everything my mom buys me because she loves me. In my home, I am loved. My home tastes like my mom’s fresh cookies. I taste the vast turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. I taste all the snacks and good food that I am lucky enough to have. In my home, I am loved. I love my family. I like to have a roof over my head and food in the fridge. I like that Habitat for Humanity is helping people feel what I feel.
