Home
Home is the sunsets and sunrises from our front windows. Flaming colours lighting the sky up, begging to be admired. Home is the taste of warm chocolate chip cookies melting on my tongue and my dad’s pizza. Home is the kind words I hear each day. Words that build people up, encouraging them to try again. Home is the smells drifting up my nose from the kitchen. Smells of savoury sauces and meat or of sweet brownies and cookies. Home is the feeling of arms wrapping around, showing love and care for me. Home means alot to me, but it’s mostly the love and memories shared with my family. I believe everyone deserves a safe house to build a home in. Habitat for Humanity is a great opportunity to help a family get a house. It’s a chance to grow in your creative writing and to help people in need. I thank Habitat for Humanity for providing a safe place for kids to grow and for supporting people in need. I send this paragraph knowing it will, with many others, help a family going through a tough time.
