My One And Only Home “

“Home is not a place…it’s a feeling.” Home is where all the memories are created. An echo. Where friends, and loved ones, always belong and laughter never ends. Home is where I relax, stay together with family and friends and remember who and what I really care about. Whatever happens, life will take you to different places but love will always bring you home. A home is a welcoming place I feel just right in. Much like in Goldilocks, there are places that are too odd or not quite right. My friend's house has been visited by me many times, however, it's not the same. Home is where I have spent my whole life eating, sleeping, and celebrating birthdays. Even when times weren't right. For 3 years of my life home has been the only place that I could stay in quarantine when COVID-19 was drifting around. During that time, all I felt was this force; I wanted to go out and breathe the fresh air from the nearby park. Yet now when I go places, I feel homesick. When you are in your house, you create a special bond with your family and friends. For me, home is not the item’s that you have in your home, it is the people inside it. That makes it home. Relaxing, snug, entertaining, and amazing define what home is. Every Friday my family and I watch a movie knitted altogether on the couch watching an entertaining and enjoyable movie or show while chomping on popcorn. This is one bond that our family will always have. Crisp, warm, rich scents float through my nose from any area of the house. Fresh-baked cookies. Home is where all of the delicious and amazing foods are. The kitchen is the main point in my home where I make the most meaningful memories. I bake sweets to enjoy and I get to make new memories with the people that I am making them with. Throwing flour, sugar, and sprinkles at each other as my sister and I make cookies. When I bake with my sister we always have a wonderful time and never stop smiling (until we see the pile of dishes). Home! An amazing, entertaining, magical place where everyone belongs. That is what home means to me. From the magnificent movie called the Wizard of Oz, they definitely got it right. “ There is no place like home”. There is truly no place where I am welcomed except for my one and only home!
