What I Feel Home Is

Home is something you care about. It's not a building. It’s not a person. It's you. It's what exemplifies you. No matter how small or oddly shaped it is, or how old or new, it's you. It’s like a scent only you can smell, or a gift that only you can open. That’s what I feel home is. Home is acceptance. It’s being equal and affordable to everyone around you. Everyone welcomes you as you are and doesn’t give a doubt or negative thought about you. It’s like a supportive community inside a place made for you. No matter if there are conflicts or fights, you're loved by everybody in your home. You can feel free to express your opinion and feelings amongst all the people and animals in your home. Home is alive. A happy and memorable place. It’s a feeling of letting the pressure wash away. It's like vanishing into a paradise that you can finally reach. Seeing relatives or pets when you walk into your home, you can finally feel relieved. Home is having fun with your siblings or playing family games at the dinner table, and much more. It’s a wonderful and joyful place where you just feel comfortable no matter what. Maybe your home is in a hut, or a mansion, maybe even a basement? But it's not the looks or the building at all; it's what happens inside and that is something you can call yours - truly yours. Home is alive. Home is permanent. Home is not a building or a person, it is you. Home is your memories, your thoughts… you. Home is a place inside you called your heart. And the memories that you make with the people you love are permanently in your heart, even if you fail to remember. Home is permanent. Home is something we all love.
